Apply Labeling Applicators are an essential tool in the printing and apply process. This technology is the main method used to apply color printing or foil stamping in a wide variety of applications. These tools can be purchased in hardware stores and office supply stores. They may also be ordered online. There are two types of label applicator equipment: spray applicators and print roll apply and grip applicators. Both types are used for applying the label over a wide range of surface materials. Both types use a cylindrical tank to hold the liquid that must be applied, a tube to direct the spray or gel or both to apply the labeling directly, and a handle to apply the material. Some label applicator systems use a hand crank to apply the material. In-line label applicators are available as stand alone units or as part of a print and apply system in a manufacturing line. A rotating tube in the chamber sprays the liquid onto the paper, which is then run through an air-tight seal to the outer case. There are variations in the design of the two systems. A few examples are described below. The roller applicator is often found in a printing shop. This type of applicator has a cylinder that rotates and a flat plate, called jambs, that spreading the adhesive on the surface of the commodity being printed or applied. The cylindrical design of most models has a handle that is pulled back to spread the adhesive on a piece of paper, which is then passed through a channel that squeezes the label directly onto the product. The only variation that exists in this design is the type of handle that is used. In a corner labeler, the handle is a vertical rotating cylinder with a flat side on one end that fits into a slot in the other end. In the case of a pressure sensitive label, it is generally preferred to have a cylinder that features a piston-type mechanism rather than a flat plate. Some manufacturers combine both types of applicator for greater flexibility and ease of use. The piston-type applicator features a spring that feeds the paper from side to side when pressed, while the flat plate pressure sensitive applicator features a fixed, single spindle that does not change direction during the application process. Both types of applicator can be fitted with an optional riser kit that provides adjustable height support, extending the reach of the applicator from its peak to the base of the receiver. Some labels are applied using CTM Labeling System known as a corner label machine. Corner machines differ from other applicator in that they do not rotate, but simply apply the labeling with one continuous movement. They feature two vertically moving pieces that are each attached to three other stationary pieces. When the pieces are in motion, the product's surface area is covered in a series of perpendicular grooves. These grooves are sized depending upon the type of product and application environment.
